Submission Guidelines

Your submission should include:

1. The general purpose of the invention, method or process

2. A technical description of the invention, method or process

3. The advantages and improvements over existing methods, equipment and materials

4. Possible variations and modifications, if any, to existing methods, equipment and materials

5. The features of your invention that are believed to be new

6. Close or related patents, if applicable and known.

7. Literature references as appropriate

Use text, images, video or other media to communicate your idea. Hand drawn sketches are fine, as long as they are interpretable. NOTE: The judges are impressed with CLARITY, not fancy color graphics.

Physical prototypes will be accepted, but are not required.

Submit your concept/device to the Biodesign Program office no later than 5 pm, Wednesday, Feb 6, 2009.

NOTE: QUESTIONS concerning provisional patenting, using the Stanford OTL Technology Disclosure form or other technology transfer issues should be directed to Sara Nakashima at OTL.

SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE BY 5 pm on February 6, 2009. Please submit your entries to the Biodesign Program by emailing them to christine.kurihara@stanford.edu. Physical prototypes may be delivered to the James H. Clark Center, Rm E-125 (east wing first floor, entry door 1.3).
