The Selection Process

The Invention Challenge panel will select finalists and request finalists to present their concept to the committee. Presentations to the committee, including questions, are typically less than 15 minutes long. Winner(s) will be announced at EWeek's final event on Feb 25.

Prizes

The top three teams with the best concept/invention will be awarded the following prizes:

First Place: $5000 team grant plus commuter bicycle, cyclometer, headlight, helmet, and challenge bicycle messenger bag for each team member

Second place: $2500 team grant plus cyclometer, headlight, and challenge bicycle messenger bag for each team member

Third place: $1000 team grant plus challenge bicycle messenger bag for each team member

The first 25 entrants who register for the competition (and complete the submission) will receive a bicycle safety kit which may include one or more of the following:

Bell Solar helmet

Cateye headlight

Zefal bike bell

Reflective pants band

Rear strobe light
